Your absence has gone through me
Like thread through a needle
Everything I do is stitched with it's color.
~W.S.Merwain, "Separation"
To live in this world
you must be able
to do three things:
to love what is mortal;
to hold it
against your bones knowing
your own life depends on it;
and, when the time comes to let it go,
to let it go.
~Mary Oliver
I pray our souls will meet again...

I'm tearing up for you...(and for me) I know so well what this is like, and I anticipate the same grief in the not too distant future for me for my faithful companion.
ReplyDeleteHealing blessings to you.
Thinking of you today and hope you are well.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of your sweet friend's passing. You were lucky to have each other, even for such a brief time.
ReplyDeleteHello Hussam. Clive here, from the Artlog, visiting your site and getting to know you. I can see that I'm leaving a comment long after the event, but as a dog-owner and lover myself, I wanted to express my sympathy at your loss. Amber was clearly cherished and well-loved. These little creatures leave wounds in our hearts when they die out of all proportion to their size. My own 'Jack' is just a little fellow, but he's a massive presence in the household, and knows just how to get his way with me. I hope that the immediate pain of Amber's death has diminished, though I'm sure the memory of her still fills you with joy.
